What “Dual Credential” Means
This course includes the AIS 40-hour coursework designed to support two certification pathways. You may pursue IBT through IBAO, ABAT through QABA, or both. Each credential requires completing the relevant board’s additional requirements and submitting a separate application.
IBT (IBAO): 40-hour coursework plus supervised practice requirements and exam.
ABAT (QABA): 40-hour coursework plus supervision, documentation, background check, and exam.

Yes. Both share the same training curriculum, but ABAT requires fewer supervision and practice hours in line with its scope.
Yes. The course is designed for all candidates to complete the same board‑approved coursework and skills training.
Yes. You can pursue IBT after ABAT, however as of October 1, 2025, ABAT holders are not eligible for the IBT Addition route. You would typically need to register as an IBT candidate, complete the IBT requirements, and pass the IBT exam.
You will have 6 months of access from the date of enrollment to complete the 40-hour coursework, download materials, and finish any included assessments. If you need additional time due to exceptional circumstances, you may request an extension, subject to availability and administrative approval.
Yes. To keep your training progress structured and aligned with certification planning, the coursework is designed to be completed within your 6-month access period. We recommend a paced schedule of 2 to 4 hours per week.
If you do not complete the coursework within the access period, you may lose access to course content and completion documentation until access is renewed. Renewal options may be available depending on the program terms at the time of your request.
